Russell Westbrook spared Luka Doncic no sympathy after his Los Angeles Clippers handed the Slovenian a brutal defeat in the NBA with the Dallas Mavericks losing 107-88 to their Californian counterparts.
It seemed as though Doncic's motivation wasn't quite up to its maximum in the fourth quarter, with the Texan side trailing by 17 points (98-81) as Westbrook attacked the rim of the basket and Doncic parted like the Red Sea to allow him to do so, giving away a foul in the process.
As a result, the Clippers' point guard used the moment to highlight the weakness in the Mavericks and the 24-year-old to spur his colleagues on to show no mercy in the NBA fixture by shouting, "Go at him!"
Westbrook would go on to complete the game with 14 points, eight rebounds and seven assists after starting from the bench, with Paul George putting up the best numbers of 25 points, nine rebounds and four assists.
Doncic, meanwhile, put up 30 points, three rebounds and four assists showing that he is still a fearsome and formidable opponent even when he isn't maybe performing at his 100% best. The average for the season for the 2018 third pick is 30.5 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7.8 assists per game.
Who do the Clippers play next?
After the win, the Clippers improved their record for the season to seven wins and eight losses (.467) as they now sit 11th in the Western Conference, four games behind the leaders the Minnesota Timberwolves and one game outside the play-in spots.
Their next fixture will be against the defending NBA champions, the Denver Nuggets who are spearheaded by Nikola Jokic. The game will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in LA and is booked for Monday, November 27.
The Nuggets are fifth in the Western Conference with a .625 record as they trail the Timberwolves by 1.5 games.
