If you have been looking to add a little life to your apartment in Cyberpunk 2077 then you can get yourself a cat. It’s not mentioned anywhere, and you will never find it unless you go investigating, so in this article, we will show you how to get a feline friend to keep V company.

The first thing you will actually need is some cat food. You can find this in lots of different places in the game, but there is an easy to grab can of it in the trailer you search with the River during The Hunt. You can also get it from search enemies, or containers, in the Santo Domingo area of the game. If you have been playing the game for a while, you should check your inventory as it is likely you will have already picked some up.

When you have some cat food, fast travel back to your apartment at Megabuilding H10. This will drop you right outside your apartment door. Face away from the door and go left, following the corridor until you reach some dumpsters. There is a data card resting on a trashcan here that just says “Feed teh cat”. Beside the trashcan, you will see a small bowl. Interact with it to place the cat food inside, then head back to your apartment and sleep.

When you wake up, head back to the bowl and there will be a cat there eating from it. Johnny Silverhand will appear and start to talk, and you can walk up and grab the cat. This will start a brief cutscene of V placing the cat in a small hamper in their apartment, and you will now have a tiny cat friend to share your living space with.
