This Wednesday, 50 Cent bragged on social media after the New York Post reported on the NYPD’s demotion of their commander who once told police officers to shoot 50 Cent. On his Instagram account, 50 Cent laughed when Deputy Inspector Emanuel Gonzalez was demoted from his position.

Reportedly, Gonzalez was initially the commanding officer of Sunset Park’s 72nd Precinct but was later transferred to the NYPD’s Auxiliary Police Section, which is often thought of as a demotion.

Curtis Jackson, also known as 50 Cent, joked on his account that they “bust his a*s down to auxiliary,” which makes him no more than a flash-light and a badge. The NYPD’s website explains that the auxiliary program is for volunteer officers who survey conditions and then report on them for other police officers to intervene.

A spokesperson for the New York Police Department claimed, however, that his demotion had nothing to do with 50 Cent, despite what the rapper may think. A police department source said to The Post that his move to the auxiliary program was a “punishment.”

The department chose to conduct a review after telling his cops to shoot the rapper the moment they saw him in June 2018. It was the same day as the Bronx Smoker, where police officers fight each other over their workplace feuds.

At the time, 50 Cent wrote on his Instagram a series of posts stating that he was taking the threats “very seriously,” and called out Gonzalez specifically. Reportedly, Jackson’s feud with Gonzalez first started over the Brooklyn nightclub, Love and Lust, which is now closed and has a new name, Club Lust NY.

As fans of Curtis Jackson know, he has become famous over the years for his social media comments, many of which are quite satirical in nature. However, he has come under fire for some of them, including when he poked fun at Terry Crews for saying he was a sexual assault survivor.

Furthermore, 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg made fun of Oprah earlier this week after she reportedly fell and hurt her ankle.
